A. The scope of work of this project generally consists of clearing and grubbing, topsoil stockpiling, excavation, installation of crushed stone subbase, pervious asphalt pavement, fencing, guardrails, landscape planting, invasive plant removal and remediation work along Rogers Brook, and all related site work. B. Portions of the Project are located within areas subject to protection under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40 (the Act) including 200-foot Riverfront Area and 100-foot Buffer Zone associated with the southern bank of Rogers Brook. Portions of the Project are also located within areas subject to protection under the Town of Andover General Bylaw (the Bylaw) for Wetland Protection including the 50-foot Setback and 25-foot Vegetative Buffer Strip. Refer to Section 01 35 40 – ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURES for full details and requirements of the work. C. The work to be done under this Contract consists of provision and payment for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, pumping, water, light, heat, power, transportation, supervision, field engineering, testing, temporary construction, taxes, and all other services and facilities necessary to execute the work and to complete the project in every respect and as shown on the drawings and/or specified herein. D. Contractor’s attention is directed to the following: 1. Existing fencing and backstops (to remain). 2. Existing ballfields (to be avoided) 3. Existing underground drainage (to remain).
