Specifications include, but are not limited to: •Modern classroom environment that addresses needs of all students•Dedicated space for special programs and special populations•Space designed for school-wide assemblies, performances and productions•Multipurpose space that can be used for community purposes after school hours •Student security via improved building layout and access controls•Improved air quality, temperature control, and lighting •Natural light throughout building, including daylight and view in the classrooms•School design that reflects best practices in light of the COVID-19 pandemic•Life cycle costs of operating the School as it relates to future operational budgets•Creation of a net zero energy capable building •Compliance with Northeast Collaborative for High Performance Schools (NE-CHPS) criteria or US Green Building Council’s LEED for Schools (LEED-S) Rating System•CM-at-Risk Delivery Method •Compliance with the Town’s wage theft bylaws•Public participation in all phases of the Project, including the feasibility study•Achievement of project objectives while controlling cost
