A. As indicated in the Contract Drawings and Specifications, the scope of proposed work at the High School Pool includes modifications for repairs and improvements to the electrical bonding for the pool and pool deck components. B. All as shown on the Contract Drawings and in the Contract Specifications and as further summarized in Section 01 29 00 Measurement and Payment. C. Pool Equipment to be Replaced or Salvaged for Reuse 1. Salvage and Reuse of Stainless-Steel Pool Ladder. 2. New Wedge Anchors. 3. New Stanchion Sockets. 4. Starting Platforms, five to be salvaged for reuse, one to be furnished new, all new six new Paraflyte Anchors. D. Electrical Grounding and Bonding 1. The existing electrical bonding has been compromised and is no longer serving it’s intended purpose. The contractor shall replace existing pool and deck equipment as necessary to provide new bonding wires, connections, and terminations to install a fully functional and continuous system meeting NEC and Public Swimming Pool Code requirements. E. Restore all disturbed areas of pool decking, tiles, mortar, etc. F. The contractor is responsible for R&D of all concrete, old equipment, and other demolition waste. G. Contractor shall be aware that the health and safety of school students and personnel is paramount. Contractor shall provide necessary site control/security measures, such as temporary construction barricades, warning signs, on-site traffic control, and restricted site access, to ensure that students and personnel in the vicinity of the project work areas and accessways are protected from all activities throughout the Contract duration. Any occasional need for the Contractor to move fencing or signage to properly protect the public shall be considered incidental to the project. H. The Contractor shall be permitted to store and/or stage materials, equipment, vehicles, or other related items within the Limits of Work areas as directed by the Engineer. I. Contractor’s operations at the site are restricted to the Contract Limits of Work shown and any additional constraints presented in these Specifications, except for work specified and indicated to occur beyond the Limits of Work (e.g. traffic control, catch basin protection, utility terminations at mains, access to the site, etc.). J. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment, and incidentals, required to complete the work as shown in the Contract Drawings and specified herein. The scope of work under this Contract is specified in detail in the appropriate sections of these Specifications and on the Contract Drawings and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Apply for, pay for and obtain all necessary permits required by local, State, and Federal agencies having jurisdiction over work for successful completion of this project. 2. Provide temporary barricades and controls, and secure/repair existing access controls and gates as required, prior to the start of construction activities as shown on the Contract Drawings. 3. Provide all temporary utilities and obtain applicable permits that are anticipated for use during the completion of the project, including electricity, and temporary water service, if required. 4. Lawful disposal of, or recycle of, all demolition debris including, but not limited to: rubble, masonry, wood, plastic, concrete, electrical, metal, and other miscellaneous demolition debris from the site. Recycling and reuse are strongly encouraged. 5. Remove and dispose all miscellaneous trash and debris from the Site. K. The work shall also conform to such additional Drawings and addenda to these Specifications and Drawings as may be published in connection with the fee proposal and to such Drawings in explanation of details, or as may be furnished by the Engineer from time to time during the construction.
