The City seeks qualified consultant(s) capable of rendering professional appraisal services and related advisory services on an on-call basis. Appraisal services will be performed under the auspices of the Office of Planning & Development, although the selected consultant(s) may be called upon to assist other City departments, such as the Assessing Department, the Business & Economic Development, Community Development, and the Legal Department. Under this contract, the Department will call upon the selected consultant(s) on a project by-project basis. When a project has been identified, the Department will request a scope of work and fee from the selected consultant(s) to perform the realtor services necessary, in conformance with the contract. Presently, the City is soliciting proposals from qualified real estate firms or individual brokers to provide for on-call services. A seven-task approach for each assignment is envisioned, unless explicitly modified in a mutually agreeable fashion by the City: The selected Realtor will: Assist the City in establishing fair market values for surplus municipal properties. Develop and execute marketing strategies to sell the properties. List properties on Multiple Listing Services (MLS) and other relevant platforms. Host and manage open houses, site visits, and property tours as necessary. Provide regular updates to the City regarding marketing efforts, buyer interest, and other pertinent information. Negotiate offers and provide advice on potential buyers. Coordinate with the City’s legal and planning staff to ensure all transactions comply with applicable laws and municipal procedures.
