- The Force Protection Division, located at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) is seeking information related to the purchase or lease of purpose-built mobile trailers that may be utilized for a data center, laboratory space and office space.
- The minimum requirements of the space include:
- 53 foot
- Must be dedicated from frame up to be a server and office space (no conversations)
- Must have both HVAC cooling and heating, and be able to run off landline and generator power
- Must have a bathroom (with capability to operate in stand alone mode until water and services are brought to trailers)
- Must be lockable
- Must have roof access
- Must have internal and exterior lights
- Ability to lock server racks into place
- Ability to power at least 6 server racks
- The ability to separate server space from office space
- Must be able to accept external generator power
- Must be able to allow sanitation service to exchange grey water (if in stand-alone more for longer than normal)
- Ability to mount external devices (i.e. comms antennas (etc.) on the roof)
- Must be able to “lay down" on ground
- Must provide steps and rail (for safety)
- Must be able to survive blizzard and hurricane conditions (winds greater than 60mph and up to 8 feet of snow on roof; to allow time for crews to remove snow if it falls on a weekend)
- Require a service maintenance contract for weather damage and break down (etc.)
- External ports for accepting communications and other data services from base or internet provider
- Floor lock/tie downs
- The Government requests information to determine the feasibility and availability of purpose-built mobile trailers. The information provided should include at a minimum the following:
- Rough Estimate of Cost
- Availability and Delivery Schedule
- Lease vs Purchase Options
- Information related to Small Business Size Standards
- Other methods to satisfy temporary System Integration Lab space outside of the current Hanscom AFB facilities. The lab MUST remain on Hanscom AFB.

The information provided may be used by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy and performance specifications.
