The Town of Holliston DPW - Highway in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department is reconstructing the Mission Springs recreation area located at 100 Summer St. Holliston MA, 01746. The project consists of reclamation and resurfacing of a parking lot and converting a basketball court into a new pickleball court. There are 3,200 sq yds. to be reclaimed, graded and repaved. The town will remove the front section of the chain link fence and posts and repair the culvert area before work starts. All extra reclaimed material will be hauled off site by the Town of Holliston DPW. The Pickleball court and parking lot must meet the existing elevation when completed per orders of the Conservation Commission. After the area has been graded so water drains appropriately, there will be 1 ½ inches of Superpave Intermediate Course 12.5 (SIC 12.5) installed.. The Town will install new fence posts and Stormwater BMP’s. Once that work is completed the Cape Cod berm and the top course will be installed with 1 ½ inches of Superpave Surface Course 9.5 (SSC 9.5). All reclaimed areas and both layers of asphalt will be compacted with no less than a 10 ton vibratory roller.
