Sealed bids are requested by the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) from qualified firms to provide the following goods and services: • The purchase of equipment and materials for ongoing river clean-up efforts. This will include the purchase of ten (10) containment booms, along with the necessary safety equipment, such as visibility markers/buoys, to secure the devices in a manner that ensures the safety of the navigable waterway. These booms will assist with collecting and removing floatable and deposited solid debris within the Merrimack River by extending into the river and collecting floatable debris. • Provide services to monitor, collect and remove floatable solid debris from installed booms at selected locations along the Merrimack and to remove containment booms at season’s end.
