The City of Salem, through its Purchasing Department, is seeking proposals from a qualified agricultural team with proven expertise in both organic farming and permaculture practices, preferably also with educator experience, to maintain an organic vegetable farm and community food forest, collectively named The Mack Park Farm (MPF), in a designated area of Mack Park, a municipal park located at 31 Grove Street in Salem. The MPFF consists of a 120’ X 70’ organic vegetable farm and a 1/3-acre community food forest. The goals of this project are to reduce food insecurity, increase access to locally grown fruits and vegetables and educate Salem residents about diverse sustainable growing practices through the production and distribution of locally grown produce.
