One compact, self-contained, piece of equipment that can be stored in a standard office space. The equipment or machine 1) must process regulated medical waste; 2) must combine commercial- or industrial-grade grinder with an autoclave functionality; 3) must convert medical sharps and regulated biohazard waste into an end product that can be discarded in a municipal solid waste stream; 4) must have the capacity to hold at least 5 gallons of affected waste containers per load; and 5) must comply with the standards for pressure vessels set forth by the American National Standards Institute, the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, Standard ST79 and the applicable American Society of Medical Engineers.
