MDPH is seeking a vendor to provide training, maintenance, and repairs on electric powered industrial trucks including forklifts and power pallet jacks. Training The vendor shall be able to provide OSHA-compliant training for OSHA Class I electric motor rider lift trucks (i.e, counterbalance forklifts) and OSHA Class III electric motor rider hand trucks and rider trucks (i.e. power pallet jacks and walkie-riders), with the intent of training DPH staff to operate the equipment. The vendor shall be able to provide OSHA-compliant train-the-trainer training on Class I and Class III equipment, with the intent of DPH staff to be able to train others to be OSHA compliant. Maintenance The vendor shall be able to perform all manufacturer- or industry-recommended preventative maintenance for the above-mentioned classes of powered industrial trucks. The vendor shall only have manufacturer- or industry-certified technicians perform said preventative maintenance. The vendor shall be able to procure all the parts required for said preventative maintenance and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for maintenance. The vendor shall perform said preventative maintenance on-site in Franklin, MA. Repair The vendor shall be able to repair the above-mentioned classes of powered industrial trucks. The vendor shall only have manufacturer- or industry-certified technicians perform said repairs. The vendor shall be able to procure all the parts required for said repairs and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for repair. The vendor shall perform said repairs on-site in Franklin, MA when possible. If repairs must happen off-site, the vendor shall arrange transportation of the powered industrial trucks to the repair facility and provide equivalent loaner powered industrial trucks for the duration the MDPH-owned industrial truck is off-site. If additional training is needed on loaned equipment, the vendor shall provide that at no cost. Current powered industrial trucks Inventory NOTE: This solicitation is for the ability to provide training, maintenance, and repair for any powered industrial trucks which fall within the above-mentioned classes, not only the specific models noted below. This includes powered industrial trucks that may be obtained by MDPH in the future.
