The Metropolitan Area Planning Council invites bids from qualified consultants to serve as a Produce Audit and Purchasing Consultant, assisting MAPC staff in the MGL Chapter 30B compliant procurement of fruits and vegetables on behalf of school districts in Eastern and Central Massachusetts. The selected Produce Audit and Purchasing Consultant will support the development of the procurement itself, ensuring compliance with DESE and other relevant standards; act as a liaison between MAPC, the participating schools, and the selected produce vendor; as well as the subsequent monitoring of pricing, invoicing, and broader impacts on the bid under the contract through reviews of spending and vendor audits. MAPC will be the awarding authority. Proposals will be evaluated against quality requirements and evaluation criteria set out in the RFP, and by considering the prices offered. Those Proposers identified as being responsible and responsive and offering the most advantageous proposals against these factors will be awarded contracts.
