Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Metropolitan Area Planning Council, working with Tufts University, is exploring innovative approaches to enable municipal governments and other public agencies in the Commonwealth to more easily procure academic research services from the Greater Boston Metropolitan Area’s many world-class academic institutions. As part of this effort, we are releasing a Request For Information to gain input from accredited local academic institutions regarding their existing partnerships with public entities. This RFI would inform us about their interest in a potential procurement solution to streamline such procurements, as well as the potential benefits of such a procurement solution for academic institutions. We are also looking for feedback and input on what elements would or should be included in an ideal procurement solution to maximize its utility to the participating institutions.
