Specifications include, but are not limited to: Installing locks for approximately 23 doors in one building. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is seeking quotes from those vendors on the ITC71 statewide contract for Security, Surveillance, Monitoring, and Access Control System, all terms and rates shall be in accordance with the contract. MEMA’s need is to provide a doorknob and individual locking mechanism to all required doors on the 3rd floor wing (estimated to be 23 doors) that can be keyed to a master. Add alt bid for remaining doors on 2nd floor wing shall be included in bid. Keys do not have to be Medco or similar, systems and shall be reproduceable by MEMA if needed. It is the Vendor’s responsibility, to survey and review the particular installation location to ensure the existing proposed location will meet any manufacturer’s established installation criteria. Should the proposed installation location not meet established installation criteria, the Vendor and the Eligible Entity will attempt to locate an alternate mutually agreeable equipment for the required site. Vendors not familiar with any location are strongly advised to personally view the locations prior to bid. A lack of familiarity with an installation location will in no way relieve a vendor from its responsibility to fulfill its contractual obligations. Existing doors are wooden with metal panels and metal door frames, magnetic/electrical locking mechanisms controlled by a central control. MEMA seeks the installation of knobs and locks to allow locking from the inside and key access from the outside.
