Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH or the Department), seeks proposals from qualified bidders for design, content development, and delivery of an expanded intensive training program for the local public health (LPH) workforce. The expansion will include updates to 5 existing courses and the addition of 9 new courses, all of which will be offered to the LPH workforce during the contract. Years 1 and 2: Approximately $250,000 annually is available for the following design, content development, and re-branding activities: Review and update the MAPHIT food and housing courses (Group 1). Review and update local public health management, wastewater, and foundations for LPH practice courses (Group 2). Design and develop content for the expanded catalogue of LPH intensive training programs to include skilled-based, virtual training for: inspection of recreational camps, swimming pools, body art/tanning establishments, and nuisances as set forth in the SCLRPH Workforce Standards (Group 3 programs). public health nursing, leadership, epidemiology, communications, and foundational public health services (Group 4 programs). Engage appropriate subject matter experts for curriculum development and ensure that the relevant Senior Trainers and OLRH have reviewed the curriculum prior to implementation. Provide expertise in instructional design. Include the use of virtual classroom as a series of “mini courses” as a program design feature for courses as determined by OLRH.
