Check for Lead-based paint and any other hazards - As needed: tarp, ventilate, and isolate areas being worked on from the remainder of the building. - As needed: tarp or cover areas to protect them from paint splatter. - Fix and repair damage to wall and ceiling near window (south side of window) on the West side of the room. Repair shall follow current acceptable repair procedures. Repairs shall be spackled and sanded. Any repaired areas shall be primed, with a minimum of one coat of primer and subsequently painted with a minimum of two finish coats of paint. - Prepare, repair as needed, prime as needed, and paint walls. - Prepare, repair as needed, prime as needed, and paint ceiling. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint window trim and sills. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint, heat registers. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint baseboard. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint stair risers on East and West Stairs. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint bookshelves. - Prepare, prime as needed, and paint South hallway stopping painting at a termination point that minimizes painting while being as unobtrusive as possible. - Install new quarter round trim on bottom of baseboard covering edge of floor. Library has quarter round trim already.
