Major service objectives are summarized as follows: 1. Provide for highly effective legal representation services in court or other legal forums on behalf of the GHA; 2. Provide for well-informed legal counsel and advice to the GHA regarding a wide variety of legal issues; The GHA normally requires these above-noted services from LSPs with expertise in relevant subject matters including, but not limited to: 1. Massachusetts landlord tenant law; 2. HUD affordable housing program law and all applicable regulations, e.g., Housing Act of 1937, 24 CFR Parts 900-1699; 3. Massachusetts state-aided affordable housing program law and all applicable regulations, e.g., Mass. Gen. Laws Ch. 121B, 760 CMR 4-6, 760 CMR 8, 760 CMR 11, 760 CMR 47 4. Massachusetts state sanitary code, Mass. Gen. Laws Ch. 111. 5. Fair housing and anti-discrimination law; 6. Labor and employment law including hiring, progressive discipline, workplace investigation, and employee relations; 7. Massachusetts civil service and public employee union law.
