XRF testing for lead-based paint in areas outlined in the Massachusetts Lead Law: peeling or loose paint; all surfaces of windows with sills five feet or less from the floor or ground; and accessible, mouthable surfaces below five feet and four inches from all edges. Such surfaces/areas to be tested include but are not limited to doors, jambs, stools, caps, sashes, stairs, risers, spindles, handrails, pickets, supports, all ceilings, walls (all 4 walls in each room) , baseboard, chair rails within each dwelling unit, as well as the common hallways, staircases and common exterior of the designated properties. Testing methodology must conform to regulations promulgated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and satisfy HUD/EPA protocols meeting OHHLHC requirements.
