Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. SPRING CLEANUP. • Spring Walk-Thru: The Contractor must conduct a walk-thru with the Police Chief or designee prior to starting performance of the Contract each spring. • Spring Cleanup/Scope of Work: o Edging, weeding and mulching of all beds on the sides and front of the building, nothing in the rear of building. Estimated 15- 20 yards of mulch. o Rock drainage in front of building and around sign must be free and clear of weeds and debris. o Prior to starting, all litter, debris, and twigs shall be picked up and disposed properly. B. SEASONAL MAINTENANCE. • Seasonal Maintenance/Scope of Work: o Pruning of shrubs and bushes two (2) or more times per year. o Weeding the rock bed located in front of the building, monthly, seven (7) or more times per year. o Weeding of mulch beds monthly, seven (7) or more times per year. o Mulch bed work includes edging and cleanup of excess mulch and/or supply of mulch. o Trim grass around all flowerbeds without disturbing flowers, plantings, shrubs, flag holders, etc. o Removal of dead plants and bushes as needed. o Replacement of dead plants and bushes as determined by the Police Chief or designee. • Work Schedule: Work, other than snow and ice treatment, can take place during the days and hours of Monday- Saturday 7:00 am- 3:00 pm. Holidays and Sundays excluded. • Snow and Ice: Shovel snow and treat sidewalks for snow and ice within two (2) hours of any appreciable accumulation of precipitation. This work must be undertaken at any hour of the day and any day of the week as the facility is active 24/7. • Access: Workers shall be sensitive to any emergency operations at the facility and shall not block any vehicular or pedestrian access at any time. C. FALL LEAF CLEAN UP/LEAF REMOVAL. • Fall Walk-Thru: Contractor must conduct a walk-thru with the Police Chief or designee prior to starting performance of the Contract each fall. • Areas for Fall Cleanup: Fall leaf clean up and leaf removal shall include all lawns, roads and miscellaneous ground areas, elevated surfaces of such things as monuments, stones, markers, walls, trees, buildings, flower beds, curbing and so forth.
