Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Mowing: • Maintain lawns to a neat, trim, and healthy appearance at an average height of 2.5”-3” • Mowing height to be confirmed by DPW Grounds Superintendent • All clippings to be bagged and removed off site • Lawn edges trimmed to maintain crisp neat appearances • Mowing patterns shall be altered regularly to avoid sags, ruts, and tracks in lawn areas • Mowing shall occur weekly unless directed otherwise by DPW Grounds Superintendent • Irrigation heads damaged by the vendor shall be replaced immediately at vendor’s expense • Includes all lawns adjacent to the street and between the street and sidewalk 3.2 Weeding: • Planting plans will be provided by City staff and plant beds shall be reviewed with the vendor prior to weed removal • Maintain beds to minimize weed, debris and invasive materials • Weed all plant beds by hand • Weed whackers may only be used to trim lawn areas and planting bed edges. • Touch up bark and mulch as necessary to create a neat appearance • Vendor shall be responsible for any plant material removed in error • Weeding of all plant beds to occur twice a month unless directed otherwise 3.3 Spring Cleanup: • Remove debris from all planting beds and lawn areas identified on park plan • Remove sand and salt from sidewalks and along lawn areas identified on park plan • Re-adjust and reset trees and shrubs from snow plowing or other minimal winter damage • Clean and cut shrub, tree and mulch beds • Cut down all ornamental grasses throughout the site • Edge all existing beds, walkways and curb lines to a crisp clean edge • Touch up bark mulch as necessary to create a neat appearance
