All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Landscaping Management Scope: Contractor will perform a spring cleanup and a fall cleanup on the site. Spring cleanup will consist of weeding the landscaping beds, edging the landscaping beds, trimming of all shrubs to provide a neat and professional appearance, installation of four (4) inches of cedar mulch within the landscaping beds, cleaning the parking lot and sidewalks and cleaning of the catch basins. Fall cleanup will consist of weeding of the landscaping beds, trimming of all shrubs to provide a neat and professional appearance, trimming of trees that are in proximity of the building to ensure that limbs are not obscuring security cameras (see facility manager for details). Snow and Ice Management Scope: All snowplow and ice management areas including roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, fire hydrants and catch basins identified on the campus must be serviced by the selected contractor. The Awarding Authority will notify selected contractor 24 hours in advance as to what, if any, snow removal services will be utilized for any storm. The selected contract agrees to provide any, all or part of the services identified in this solicitation to the Awarding Authority upon request. Once notified that services are required, the selected contractor will be required to provide readiness reports to the Awarding Authority prior to any known storm event. Reports must be complete, accurate and submitted to the Awarding Authority upon request, usually 8 – 12 hours before any storm. The intention of the report is to have the selected contractor identify the resources that will be dedicated to the site for snow and ice management activities. Once notified that services are required, sufficient labor and equipment must be deployed to the site before any storm event, but in every case so that there is never accumulated snow on any contracted site, unless snow and ice management actions are in progress and the Awarding Authority has specifically approved a reduction in work force and/or equipment. The selected contractors will be responsible to engage in all snow/ice management activities continuously, as needed to meet the intent of this solicitation. The selected contractors will provide a fixed cost quote to apply road salt on a per application basis to the areas identified on the campus map. Application of ice melt may occur before, during and after any storm event or as site conditions require at the discretion of the Awarding Authority. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to determine storm event separations, or when snow fall accumulations constitute a separate storm event on a case-by-case basis. The selected contractor may be required to submit a storm readiness report before each known storm event. A sample report will be provided by the Awarding Authority.
