The Division licenses, among other individuals and entities, insurance producers, insurance advisers, public insurance adjusters, surplus lines brokers and life settlement brokers, and administers certain functions in connection with the licensing of motor vehicle damage appraisers by the Auto Damage Appraisers Licensing Board. The objective of this RFR is to provide quality examination and education services to the Commonwealth’s insurance license applicants and licensees. The process of licensing insurance producers and other key participants in the insurance industry allows the Division to promote a marketplace in which individuals and entities engaging in the business of insurance are qualified and are conducting business in compliance with the Commonwealth’s laws and regulations. Licensing examination and continuing education services are currently provided pursuant to a contract that will expire on July 21, 2026 (see BD-21-1027-DOI01-DOI01-59105).
