Specifications include, but are not limited to: --16 Broad Street - Town Building • cutting and trimming the grass around the entire Town Building on a weekly basis from May 1 through October of every calendar year; including cutting and trimming prior to and following those dates if necessary, as determined jointly by the Contractor and Town Manager/Parks Manager; • edging, weeding and mulching beds as necessary, but at least twice seasonally; • Keeping shrubs and plants pruned as needed to maintain neat appearance; • fertilizing the grounds, shrubbery, and plantings around the entire Town Building as needed, but at least as follows: fertilize shrubs and plants at least once, in early spring; fertilize grass areas three times (early spring, June, and early fall); • Rake and remove leaves around entire Town Building as needed in the fall; • Coordinate with Irrigation Contractor as to the need for irrigation system repairs or modifications to ensure even and healthy grass/plant growth and appearance.; --1 East Chestnut Street • edging, weeding, mulching, fertilizing the flower bed and surrounding shrubs as necessary but at least three times seasonally: • keeping shrubs and plants pruned as needed to maintain neat appearance; • maintenance of window boxes from spring through winter, including weeding, planting, and replacement of appropriate flowers/plants (at Contractor's expense) for all four seasons. --20 South Water Street; • cutting and trimming grass alongside the building on a weekly basis from May 1st through October of every calendar year, including cutting and trimming prior to, and following, those dates if necessary, as determined jointly by the Contractor and Town Manager/Parks Manager.; --25 Federal Street - Culture & Tourism Building & Veterans' Memorial Park • Maintenance of window boxes from spring through winter, including weeding, planting, and replacement of appropriate flowers/plants (at Contractor's expense) for all four seasons in consultation with the Culture & Tourism Services Director, Janet Schulte (via email jschulte@nantucket-ma.gov); update boxes about 4-5 times per year depending on seasons or events; • cutting and trimming the grass in the Veterans' Memorial Park next to the Visitor’s Services building on a weekly basis from May 1st through October of every calendar year for the duration of the contract, including cutting and trimming prior to and following those dates if necessary, as determined jointly by the Contractor and Town Manager/Parks Manager; • Maintenance of raised bed and two (2) planters in Veterans’ Park, including weeding, planting, and replacement of appropriate flowers/plants (at Contractor’s expense) in consultation with Operations Administrator, Erika Mooney (via email Emooney@nantucket-ma.gov); update raised bed and planters seasonally in advance of Daffodil Weekend, Memorial Day, Summer, Veterans’ Day, and Stroll Weekend/winter; • edging, weeding, mulching, fertilizing, and trimming the shrubbery and plants in the Veterans' Park as necessary, but at least three times seasonally. The Veterans' Park should be kept looking neat, orderly, and free of litter at all times. Power washing the Veteran's Memorial annually on or before May 15th.
