Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bid price shall include all charges for the purchase of the material furnished and loaded at the plant into Town of Wellesley vehicles or Town of Wellesley authorized vehicles. The various types of mix to be offered by the bidder must be of the best quality and must meet the standards and requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the requirements of the Director of Public Works of the Town of Wellesley. It shall be the Vendor’s responsibility to load the Town-owned trucks, or Town of Wellesley authorized vehicles, at its plant, in an orderly and efficient manner; at such temperatures as appropriate to the mixing requirements. The plant shall be operating Monday through Saturday during the normal operating season, March 14 through December 15. It shall always be able to produce the requested mix type. The Hot Mix Asphalt Type I-1 shall be made available to be picked up by the Town forces at least one day per week during the winter season, December 15 through March 14.
