Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITEM I – Furnish & Load; Hot Mix Asphalt Type I-1: Top, Binder, Dense (Curb) and Surface Treatment ITEM II – Furnish & Load; Hot Mix Asphalt Type I-1: Top Mix ONLY during the winter season from December 15 through March 14. Please bid accordingly. Materials Class I Bituminous Concrete Type I-1, shall conform to all the requirements of the Massachusetts Highway Department 1995 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Section M.11.00 of Subsection Division III, Materials, for material, plant requirements, sampling, testing, composition, and compaction and inspection. The Bituminous Concrete, Type I-1 top course material used in the pavement shall contain NO Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The use of Processed Glass Aggregate (PGA) meeting the requirements of M2.01.8 may be added at a maximum addition rate of 10% mass and will ONLY be allowed in binder bituminous concrete mixtures.
