The interpretive panel update will increase knowledge and understanding of the history of Salem and promote a sense of pride and connection to the community. Neighborhoods listed as districts in the National Register of Historic Places or designated as City of Salem local historic districts will be given first preference for updated/new signage. A template for the interpretive panels has been developed as part of previous signage projects. The historic interpretive panel design and layout must comply with a Pannier Low Profile Exhibit Base with 36"w X 24"h panel size and 34 7/8" X 22 7/8" visual area.
