Contractor (Contractor) to provide engineering review services for municipal energy grant applications. The Contractor will be tasked with the comprehensive assessment and evaluation of energy projects for implementation across a variety of municipal facilities, such as city and town halls, libraries, senior centers, educational institutions, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and public works buildings in Massachusetts. The qualified contractor will have a wide range of expertise in evaluating energy projects. This encompasses proficiency in building mechanical systems (predominantly related to building electrification), lighting retrofits, and building science, focusing on the impacts of the proposed building modifications on energy efficiency, long-term performance, comfort, and indoor air quality in both new and existing constructions. Furthermore, the successful contractor must demonstrate substantial experience with alternative energy projects, including solar photovoltaic, wind, and solar thermal systems.
