The Town of Athol invites sealed bids for the Freedom & South Street Improvement Project. The project consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately 1800 LF of +/-22’ wide roadway reclamation, new base and surface courses of Superpave, 1800 LF of monolith concrete sidewalk and curb, and 350 LF of HMA cubing. Project also includes minor improvements along roadway ROW such as miscellaneous concrete work, metal railing, utility structure adjustments, signage, and pavement markings. This project is being administered by the Town of Athol and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) and funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC), FY2024 Athol Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The Engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs for the project is $785,000.
