The work includes the rehabilitation of an 8” cast iron water main installed in the 1930s along Forest Street. The rehabilitation will consist of cleaning and cement mortar lining of approximately 4200 linear feet of 8” water main, other elements associated with this project include removal and replacement of hydrants, gate valves, side street laterals, reinstatement and installation of water service lines and providing temporary bypass water services to all affected properties. The limits of the project are from the intersection of Forest Street and Aldrich Road to the intersection of Forest Street and Burlington Avenue, along Forest Street. The base bid will be the main body of work and there is a bid alternate for service line replacement and investigation. If funding is available, and bids are financially favorable, the alternate bid shall be selected.
