Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Key Components: Contractor work collaboratively with staff to meet the following key components of the vehicle maintenance program: i. Comprehensive and preventive maintenance schedule. ii. Complete Emergency repairs iii. Customer service responsiveness to maximize cost efficiencies and minimize unscheduled repairs and vehicle downtime. iv. Courteous, quality service while providing staff with mechanically sound, safe, and reliable vehicles. v. Compliance with all State and Federal vehicle standards b. Tasks: Successful proposers shall demonstrate the ability to provide routine preventive maintenance (PM) and repair services for approximately 54 patrol units/vehicles and SUV's. Contractors shall perform routine repair services that include, but are not limited to: i. Preferred but not required ability to complete Massachusetts Safety Inspection every year in accordance with guidelines established by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor vehicles. ii. Ability to make recommendation for further repair services, Contract shall support their recommendation for such repair work by using diagnostic statistics, accepted performance standards, vehicle history records, mileage, and other customary means. The contractor shall obtain prior authorization before completing any further repair work.
