The Treasurer and Receiver-General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, issues this Request for Response ("RFR") to select a pool of qualified individuals (the "Pool")interested in participating as independent contractors in conferences, seminars, and trainings on topics related to Financial Education. Engagements may include both direct services and train-the-trainer services. A firm or an individual responding to this RFR may respond with respect to any or all of the categories and may ultimately be selected in more than one such category. The Financial Education Department (Department) is a statewide resource for all Massachusetts residents and empowers individuals to learn about a broad spectrum of financial matters. The Department operates as a reliable resource, clearing-house and calendar of financial education for all ages through a variety of programs. These programs offer a wide range of seminars, conferences, and curriculums designed to assist citizens in reaching their financial goals. The Treasury is seeking qualified keynote speakers, instructors, and/or train-the-trainers for its seminars, conferences and other events to address topics that include but are not limited to: a. Financial Education Topics Lending Saving Credit Online commerce & Identity Theft Financial Protection Investing & Long Term Planning Banking and financial services Budgeting and Income Management State and Federal Taxes Charitable Giving Estate Planning b. Financial Planning for Military Families c. Financial Planning for Aging Adults d. Elder Law Issues e. Retirement Transition Issues f. Technology based Financial Education Set forth below is a description of engagements the Treasury previously sponsored or is interested in sponsoring. This list may increase or decrease at any time pursuant to Treasury resources and public interest. No additional specifications were given.
