The feasibility study will consist of two major components: A Traffic Study and Conceptual Design. The traffic study will take inventory of existing conditions and collect traffic data. Next, the study will complete a comprehensive safety analysis. Finally, the traffic study will include an operational analysis of existing conditions and make recommendations on parkway segment cross-section, intersection geometry, closure of Agassiz Road, and timing and sequence. In the conceptual design phase, the consultant team shall collaborate on a plan based on the results of the traffic study that make substantial improvements according to the goals listed above. This concept will show lane allocations and intersection geometry, locations where excess lane capacity can be converted to park land, new path connections, and landscaping.
