The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete mechanical dredging of an estimated 2,343 cubic yards (CY) of sediment from the existing Barnstable Harbor Mid-Entrance Channel and Blish Point Boat Ramp. Sediments are to be mechanically dredged and loaded onto material barges for dewatering and transportation to the contractor's selected shoreside facility. Once dewatered, material will be offloaded at the contractor’s selected waterfront facility. At the facility, following final dewatering and mixing, the material must be retested for conductivity and be mitigated if necessary and as required before being loaded into trucks and hauled to the contractors selected upland use site. All dredging and dewatering will be completed utilizing floating water-based equipment. The Contractor is responsible for coordinating the acceptance of material with the Contractor’s selected disposal facility, forming any necessary contracts with the selected disposal facility, and coordination with regulatory agencies such as MADEP and others as applicable to permit the disposal. Disposal will be measured in Tons and it is estimated that approximately 3,515 TONS of dewatered sediments will be transported and disposed.
