The City of Lawrence invites proposals from organizations, (Individual/ sole proprietor, LLC’s, non-profit or for profit), interested in requesting funding from Opioid Settlement Funds to assist the city with the goals set forth in the Lawrence Opioid Comprehensive Plan. The focus in this RFF is on Prevention. The City has a budget of $100,000 and expects to make several awards. Make note of the maximum amount that can be applied for by an organization or individual. Awards may be less than the amount applied for. Prevention Project Categories: • Outreach workers with experience working with the population, preferably with lived experience (maximum application amount is $25,000.00) • Lease of recreational space (maximum application amount is $25,000.00) that can be used for: o Meals served on-site o Distribution of blankets, hats, glove, and other essential warming items o Distribution of hygiene kits • Youth (maximum application amount is $25,000.00) o Education programs o Afterschool arts and culture programs o Sports programs
