Boston Public Schools (BPS) is looking for a third-party fiscal agent to administer federal grant funds allocated to non-public schools on its behalf. Through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (1965) and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) (2015), the U.S. federal government provides grant funding to state and local educational institutions to improve educational outcomes for students. Boston Public Schools, as the public school district in Boston, manages the subset of these funds that are allocated to support public schools in the City of Boston. It is seeking a fiscal agent to administer the subset of these funds that support students at non-public schools, including schools affiliated with the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and other private schools within Boston city limits.
