Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.00 Staffing Requirements: The Contractor shall provide event staff to provide event security and assist the various participants and the general public utilizing the BCEC, Lawn on D, the Hynes Convention Center, and Boston Common Garage. 2.1 Event Staff. Supervisory and security personnel shall be provided by the Contractor as required during events. Supervisor/officer ratio will be determined by the Authority. The Contractor shall be prepared, upon notification from the Authority, to provide up to 100 event-related security officers, to provide security for events. Additionally, the Contractor shall 2.2 Event Staff: Scheduling. The Contractor will cooperate with the Authority in reviewing event schedules and security needs. The Contractor will receive preliminary schedules of events (usually available approximately 30 days prior to the event) and final schedules as soon as they have been released by Show Management/the client and approved by the Authority Public Safety Director or his designee. The Contractor shall work with the Authority’s Director of Public Safety, or his designee to determine staff levels throughout the planning cycle of each event, including pre-planning meetings, event assessments, and regular scheduling meetings with the Contractor’s scheduling representative or account manager. The Contractor shall adjust staff levels as needed, up to and throughout each event, all as may be directed by the Authority’s Director of Public Safety or his designee. The Contractor may be required to attend pre-conference meetings at the direction of the Authority’s Director of Public Safety or his designee. The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to provide additional staff on an expedited basis, if needed, whenever an emergency or unanticipated need arises. Contractor is responsible for ensuring that all assigned event staff are trained with the basic knowledge of each facility’s geography and floor plan, event specific information, facility specific life safety and emergency operations plans and procedures prior to being assigned to duty at any facility. The Contractor, upon request, shall provide the Authority with written documentation detailing each assigned event officer’s actual training received.
