Specifications include, but are not limited to:Chelsea Public Schools seeks to obtain the services of a Professional Driving School, licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Registry of Motor Vehicles, to provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training on behalf of all Chelsea High School students, sixteen years of age or over, (approximately 1300 students). The program shall be the Standard Driver Education Program as specified by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles as revised for anyone who is issued a learner's permit after September 1, 2007(the Program). Each Program offered during the school year shall run from September through the closing of school in June. The first Program offered in any given year shall start in September. The last Program offered in any given year shall end no later than June 30th. B.PROJECT DESCRIPTION Scope of Services The course shall consist of thirty (30) clock hours of classroom instruction and eighteen (18) clock hours in the driver training car, allocated as follows: twelve (12) clock hours of actual driving and six (6) clock hours of observation. The course shall also include two hour training for parents. This contract will be for a twelve month (12) period commencing October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2016. At the sole discretion of Chelsea Public Schools, the initial contract may be extended for two additional one-year terms.
