This task includes development of permitting-level design plans for the wetland restoration area. Design plans should include resource area identification and delineation, quantification of resource area change, quantification of wetland fill to be removed and from where, and identification of locations for fill to be reused on or adjacent to the site. Design plans should also include a two-way 18-20’ access driveway, or two 9-10’ access driveways in the approximate location(s) shown on the Master Plan developed by BSC Group. The driveway(s) will be used in the short term for construction access for the wetland restoration project and in the long term for public access to the site. The following should be evaluated for their feasibility during development of the project design: • Measures to enhance two degraded intermittent streams that flow through the project site including culvert replacement and/or removal (daylighting) and/or channel relocation Modification of existing cart path crossings to support an access driveway in a manner compatible with the wetland restoration and which will minimize environmental impacts • Removal of other identified structures remaining from when the property was used as a golf course • Bank and wetland restoration plantings or other modifications for the purpose of habitat enhancement and creation of additional structural diversity • Opportunities for public access to and viewing of the wetland restoration and incorporation of elements that encourage public interaction with the site and its ecological features, preferably located in upland areas • Reintroduction/transplanting of Atlantic White Cedar saplings if feasible...
