Specifications include, but are not limited to: The tank shall be designed according to applicable ASTM standards for upright, linear polyethylene tanks to contain liquids with a specific gravity of 1.9 (grams/cm3). The tank will further meet all criteria according to ASTM requirements for the intended use of storing liquids at ambient temperatures in the state of Massachusetts. The hydrostatic design stress is 750 psi at 73o F. The tank shall have tapered side walls designed in accordance with ASTM D2837. -The tank shall have an exterior diameter of 102”, a height of 152” with a straight wall capacity of 5,000 gallons. -The tank shall be totally resistant to the effects of liquid calcium chloride, liquid magnesium chloride, sodium chloride brine and organic or chemical corrosion inhibitors. -The tank shall be equipped with a minimum of an 18” diameter manway that is secured by threaded bolts and nuts. -The tank fittings shall meet ANSI standards for pipe flanges and flanged fittings.
