Specifications include, but are not limited to: On-going accessibility consulting services (June 3, 2024 – June 30, 2026): The successful bidder shall attend regular weekly agile design review sessions to provide review and real-time feedback to the development team to ensure that all screens, documents, and other deliverables are compliant with the laws and policies listed in Sections 2.2 and 2.3 are adhered to. The weekly reviews will start upon contract signing and will continue as requested by EOLWD on a time and materials basis. Design reviews occur at least once per week for 1-2 hours. Participants can join in-person at 1 Winter Street, Boston, MA or virtually at the mutual agreement between the parties. Consulting services shall also include on-going ad hoc review, answering of accessibility related questions from EOLWD and its vendor partners, and providing guidance to the EOLWD development team on best practice for addressing or remediating accessibility related topics. In addition to the aforementioned ad hoc services, regular informal independent accessibility testing of the system under development shall be performed so that formal testing, as specified in the following section should be maximally compliant or that any known accessibility issues are already known prior to the formal accessibility testing. The consulting services shall continue through and post formal accessibility testing of any phase of the EMT Program. The successful bidder shall partner with the EOLWD team to ensure the system is designed for and is built to work as intended for internal and external constituents with special needs as specified in the accessibility requirements in Sections 2.2-3. These reviews and testing shall incorporate both automated and manual testing by tools and personnel that are built for or have deep personal understanding of a broad and deep range of accessibility issues. It is expected that the necessary level of services will change over time as described above is subject to change in terms of timing. Accessibility testing services: January 1st 2025 – June 30th 2025: The successful bidder shall perform a formal independent accessibility validation test prior to system go-live and shall provide a Deliverable documenting all findings. Such findings shall be prioritized as listed below and for each finding shall provide a specific recommendation for how to remediate the finding and a proposed timeline for resolution in collaboration with the EOLWD development team. It is expected formal accessibility testing will occur in during the 1st quarter of 2025.
