Task 1. Design and Cost Estimate The selected consultant will review and provide feedback on the proposed floorplan, including identifying any building code issues and proposing improvements. The consultant will prepare a full design to include new floors, drop ceiling and ductless minisplit installation, upgraded electrical, replace windows, and furnishings. The design shall must meet the current and projected future operational needs of the Inspectional Services Department. The consultant shall provide a cost estimate to support bid planning and identification of filed sub bid categories. Deliverables will include: design drawing and cost estimate Task 2. Bidding Support The Consultant will prepare construction drawings and spec book. Given the size of the ISD staff and limited space for relocation, the consultant will work with the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds and the Commissioner of Public Works to develop a phased construction plan prior to bidding.
