Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation, 2565 Washington Street, Roxbury, MA 02119. The purpose of this Best Value Grant award to the Nuestra CDC is to support site-specific activities to prepare and secure the former Bartlett Yard property (the “Property”), located at 2505 to 2565 Washington Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts, for the implementation of remedial response actions. The Property was a former trolley maintenance facility in the 1800's. In 1931 the Boston Elevated Railway opened the site as a new bus garage. The MBTA utilized the Property as a bus and train maintenance facility through approximately 2010. Historic industrial activities at the Property have resulted in contamination in soil and groundwater.
