Minimum 3-person hourly crew rate for Cemetery internment prep work performed from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. The crew must be comprised of at least three personnel that are competent in cemetery operations with one crew member maintaining a current MA Heavy Equipment Operator’s License to operate the backhoe. The crew will be required to neatly pre-dig grave sites to accommodate the burial vault on an as needed basis as directed by the Director of Public Works. Exact burial locations will be determined and pre-marked by the Winthrop Cemetery division of the Department of Public Works. The awarded contractor will be expected to mobilize and perform the required tasks within 24 hours of notification from the Director of Public Works. The awarded contractor will be required to provide all equipment and tools needed to protect the grounds, excavate the grave site, and transport the dirt to the Town’s storage yard.
