General Description: The Building Department/Land Use Expansion Project, 37 Shattuck Street, Littleton MA. involves the reconfiguration and addition of 11 new office spaces that vary in area of 145 to 218 square feet. Existing lighting and new lighting to be added, all walls to include existing office areas and common areas to be painted, the limit of work will include the second floor and entrance area to the front of the building. Under the direction of the Town of Littleton Building Commissioner, the contractor shall conduct the following activities: Permits: Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Alarm required Site Preparation: Elevators must remain operaitonal clean and free from debris, exiting tile floors to be covered, carpet in work area to be removed, carpet on back stairway and front entry to be covered. Dumpster: Contractor to provide dumpster, all construction debris to be removed, job site must be kept clean and safe. Framing: Accounting office area framing to be extended to underside of deck all other framing to underside of ceiling grid. New wall area to have sound insulation in cavity. Electrical: Each new office to have two receptacles, one switch location for two 2x4 LED flat panels, reconfigure existing lighting, provide two cat 6 lines per office, provide two cat 6 lines for copy machine, add one exit sign, relocate one existing exit sign, add one dedicated 20A circuit for copy machine. Fire Alarm: Add notification appliances horn/strobe and heat detectors – NFPA 72 spacing. Plumbing: Provide plumbing for new sink to include drainage as needed, provide 10 gallon Rheem water heater, plumbing and drainage to be connected to first floor.
