Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Youth Services is seeking respondents to this RFR who will work to reinforce and enhance DYS educational programs through a comprehensive educational partnership. This partnership is expected to develop and implement a full range of educational services for youth in residential settings while supporting youth in a seamless transition through the institutional setting to successful reintegration into school and the community, based on each individual students needs and goals. Educational services shall be grounded in the principles of Positive Youth Development and Culturally Responsive Practice and provide for youth to return to high school or attain a GED, promote the development of skills for college and career readiness, assist youth in their transition and planning for the future and provide access to multiple pathways to college and career, as well as means to connect to workforce opportunities. Respondents should be ready to work in partnership with the Department to not only enhance and further develop such a range of educational services, but to also ensure better systemic integration of all services in the context of the DYS Education Program Mission.
