Specifications include, but are not limited to: Wake County is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Christmas tree chipping, hauling and disposal services from selected Wake County Facilities. Prospective vendors shall provide a mobile tree chipper, truck and personnel to chip trees and transport chips. The collection period for tree chipping will begin on December 26, 2009 and end on January 31, 2010. The official collection of Christmas trees from the public ends on January 17th. However, there may be trees deposited (or have accumulated) at Convenience Centers or County Park sites after the official collection period ends. In addition, Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space may need assistance in chipping trees through January 31st.
