The project consists of installing a 79’ pile-supported concrete pedestrian walkway along the southern end of the South Jog. Work includes demolishing the existing gangway platform, building a new reinforced concrete walkway on SYP CCA timber piles with stainless steel and fiberglass structural elements, and adding a timber whale and chock fender system. The gangway will be reinstalled and a new handrail added. A 19’ concrete foundation wall will extend the southern wall landward, with a Tensar Marine Mattress at its base. An additional pile and mount will support an owner-installed jib crane. Work also includes excavation, backfill, walkway painting, repair of a washed-out asphalt area, and installation of added guardrail.
