BASE BID • Meet compliance standards under 521 CMR access for persons with disabilities for buildings in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • Kitchenette: Demolition of existing steel stud walls, cabinetry, countertops, sink and plumbing connections. o All cabinets, counter tops and plumbing fixtures are to be re-used • Move any electrical outlets if need to provide power to small refrigerator or counter top appliances. • Relocate any ceiling light fixtures if applicable, and repair ceiling area. • Rebuild a steel stud wall and wallboard to code approximately 4 feet from original footprint. • Reinstall cabinetry, countertop and plumbing fixtures • Reconnect and electrical and/or plumbing fixtures supply and drainage lines o Provide shut-off ball valves for both hot and cold-water supply lines with easy access to shut-offs via access panel or under cabinet. • Paint any visible section of wall to match existing walls or an accent color o Colors can be discussed with Facilities Director upon finishing stage of job. • All debris is to be cleaned up as needed during the process to not disrupt Town Hall operations. All debris is to be removed from the property or temporarily stored in a construction dumpster supplied by the vendor. • Mechanical Room: relocated pressure vessel in mechanical room towards the newly constructed wall. If code allows for a smaller pressure vessel, down-size to a smaller vessel. • Install ball-valve isolation valves for each fixture (inlets & outlets) where they are missing or need replacing. • Meet compliance standards under 521 CMR access for persons with disabilities for buildings in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
