The Boston Housing Authority seeks proposals from vendors to administer a credible messenger program for up to 30 underserved youth aged 12 to 18 years old in the Franklin Field and Mildred C. Hailey developments. The goal of the program is to provide group and individual mentoring based on cognitive behavioral therapy principles as well as case management services that will provide underserved youth the resources to achieve positive life outcomes. Participants will meet for group mentoring sessions with “credible messenger” mentors who are trusted community members twice per week and receive stipends for participation. Mentors will also be available for individual ad hoc conversations with participants. The vendor will be responsible for providing case management support that connects participants to education, employment, and other resources.
