The framework will align arts and culture with broader city priorities, including housing, economic opportunity, workforce empowerment, planning, and climate resilience. Boston’s creative economy plays a vital role in the city’s identity and prosperity, contributing 4.5% of the overall economy and supporting nearly 9% of the workforce. To ensure this sector continues to thrive, the City is taking active steps to support its growth and sustainability.
