Develop a Civic & Cultural Infrastructure Planning Framework. The framework will assess the current state of Boston’s cultural ecosystem, define a short and long term vision, and deliver a clear action plan and implementation plan of policies, strategies, and investments. The framework will align arts and culture with broader city priorities, including housing, economic opportunity, workforce empowerment, planning, and climate resilience. Boston’s creative economy plays a vital role in the city’s identity and prosperity, contributing 4.5% of the overall economy and supporting nearly 9% of the workforce. To ensure this sector continues to thrive, the City is taking active steps to support its growth and sustainability.
