Specifications include, but are not limited to: MassHealth is a significant health plan management organization, charged with managing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medicaid program. The Senior Business Analyst (BA) for the International Classification of Diseases v10 (ICD10) project serves as the liaison between the business community and the technical development project and, as such, should be well versed in health plan management, operational concepts and the systems development lifecycle. The Senior BA will be responsible for the implementation of this defined business project within the overall business functional structure of MassHealth. The Senior BA must have sufficient knowledge of the entire scope of the health care business to insure that the development work within their functional area is compatible with the MMIS system as a whole. The Senior BAs primary responsibility is to ensure that the implemented coding scheme meets the requirements of the business community and conforms to all applicable Federal and state laws. The Senior BA is an active member in all phases of the project including: gap, analysis, requirements gathering, design and development activities, testing, implementation, and stabilization. Ideal candidate will have a background that includes expertise in health care claims and /or service authorization processing with special emphasis on knowledge of reference subsystem requirements. Candidates may also be called upon to backfill the duties of staff Business Analysts so that the staff analysts will be available to work on aspects of the ICD10 project.
